#398a What do you want to be true by December?

I’m just back from a week in the Isles of Scilly and had a proper switch off exploring the islands, eating fresh lobster and chips, homemade ice cream, and even pop-up-paella on the beach!

Then I get back to work and realise… we’re over half-way through the year, again! How did that happen?  My mum even asked last night who was hosting Christmas😖

Well I can’t control how fast time goes, but I can control what I want to be true at the end of this year.

So without being all hustle-y, where do you want to be by December?

❓What will make you proud of yourself?

❓What deserves your energy over  the next 6 months?

In all the work I do with my clients, the quarterly goal setting and accountability makes the biggest difference to their business and financial position.

We dig deep to find the goals that really matter, and we map the tasks that’ll get them there, and use weekly and monthly check-ins to make sure nothing slips.

Most goal setting fails for a couple of reasons:

  • You set too many goals and piled on the pressure

  • You didn’t care enough about the goals you chose

Because if it doesn’t really matter to you; emotionally, practically, and financially, what will keep you going when you’re super busy.

For your goals to stick, and become your reality they need to mean something.  To be deeply important to you.

And if you’re missing this emotional connection, they’re probably not the right goals for you.

So get clear on matters most

Then find the high impact actions that move you towards it.
❗top tip, less is more!

Then chip away at them every single week  - don’t save them all for a December panic!

What would you LOVE to be true by December?  Here are a  few prompts to help:

  • What's ONE thing I could achieve by December that would change my life?

  • Where do I keep making excuses instead of progress?

  • What am I sick of putting up with?

  • What would make me feel calm and happy

You just know that the next few months will fly by... will you still stuck where you are now, or sitting back smugly, mince pie in hand, damn proud of what you've done? 😇
